Privacy Policy — Rework Caller
Effective Date: April 18, 2026
Introduction
Rework Caller is a business dialer application supporting three calling modes: Default Phone Handler (PSTN), Non-default fallback, and VoIP Proxy (Twilio & Stringee). This policy explains the data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. By using Rework Caller, you agree to the terms of this privacy policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Call Log Data (READ_CALL_LOG)
- We access call log entries only for calls placed through Rework Caller in Default Phone Handler mode.
- Data synced to the business server:
timestamp, dialed number, duration, call mode (PSTN / Twilio / Stringee).
- We do NOT access or upload call logs from calls made outside Rework Caller.
- We do NOT read SMS, MMS, or message content.
1.2 Phone State (READ_PHONE_STATE)
- Used only in fallback mode when the user denies the Default Phone Handler role.
- App uses
PhoneStateListener to detect call state transitions (idle → ringing → off-hook).
- No call content, audio, or contact data is accessed in this mode.
1.3 VoIP Proxy (Twilio & Stringee)
- VoIP calls are routed through Twilio Voice SDK and Stringee SDK.
- Caller ID on the receiver's side displays a proxy number (Twilio/Stringee), not the user's SIM.
- Audio is NOT recorded or stored unless the user explicitly enables call recording.
- Twilio and Stringee process call signaling per their own privacy policies.
1.4 Default Phone Handler
- Required to route business PSTN calls through Rework Caller's
InCallService.
- Only outgoing calls placed via the app are processed; no system-level call data harvested outside Rework Caller.
1.5 Permissions Summary
